Help! A friend of mine has recently left work to start up a dog walking/pet sitting business - I would like to buy her something relating to this for Christmas but can't think of anything. What sort of thing would all you dog walkers/doggy people really appreciate?
I normally just buy her something for each of her dogs but she has about 5 now so that option is starting to add up a bit cash-wise. Plus there are only so many toys, collars etc a dog can use!

I used to do exactly the same thing for a living and STILL can't think of anything to buy her! Obviously have also left it a bit late so ideally needs to be something I can go out and buy rather than mail order.

a decent pair of gloves that are warm but she can still pick up poop, attach leads etc without taking them off, so not too bulky but warm and waterproof. prob impossible to find....or a warm hat?

HEARPHONES!!! Best gift ever for dog walkers - I got some last year. They are ear muffs that you can plug your ipod/iphone/smart phone into and they play music through them! They're reduced in John Lewis now from £20 to just £11.50 and have them in so many designs and they are so cute and fluffy. All my friends have them as presents this year because they all liked mine so much :)

I second this, my gloves are on their second year, picking up wet long lines and throwing a ball and my hands stay warm and dry, they really are a godsend.
