Change is good, I would much prefer to see success more evenly spread and the smaller owner/breeders given an opportunity to be rewarded with success in the sport. I know the big owners, JP etc put huge amounts in and they rightly enjoy much success. But, the occasional Norton's Coin moment is so refreshing to watch.

He has won all there is to win. Plenty of times over.

Everyone's life perspectives change and horse racing is a luxury. If he wants to pick it back up again when his kids have grown up and got families of their own then that is his choice.

He has done racing a lot of good. And some not so good. But he is a character and people will always appreciate that whether they like him or not.

So did I. TBH it just means RR and JP will buy them up, I don't suppose stores prices will drop as a result. As EKW said, he is a character and draws media attention, which is a good thing for the sport. I always feel I should dislike him, but he interviews well!
