Had a text at 7.15 am from Gil.

He was voted Petplan Vet of the year last night at the awards.

Gil is a partner at Poolhouse Vet Surgery and a specialist Equine Vet.

Lots of his client's must have voted for him, not just me.

I'm sure lots of Midlanders on the board know Gil.

Hoorah for Gil!

It's good to hear that Gil has been recognised for all his great work over the years. He write articles for H&H as well. We've been with Pool House Vets for years & there is little doubt that Gil & Richard have raised the bar on equine treatment around the Staffordshire/North Warwickshire area. Well done to them.

We were there at the awards do - don't know him but he gave a really lovely speech when he accepted the award. Very well done.

Fantastic news, I had the text at some ungodly hour from Gil too - you get used to unorthadox with Gil! Nobody deserves it more than Gil, and I can honestly say hand on heart that I wouldnt have my boy today if it weren't for Gil and his own particular way of treatment. He is one in a million, and a super super bloke too. If ayone has pics, we're dying to see them - a friend's horse is currently under treatment with Gil, and was, like me, crying for joy at the text this morning - despute receiving the bill in the post!

So so pleased for him

Apparently they are quoting me in the press release

I think Gil completely deserved the award, he is the most amazing vet, and all the staff at the practice should be very proud of him. his incredible determination never to give up is just out of this world.. my horse always puts up plenty of challenges for him, but he always come through for me and her.. thanks for everything Gil..
