Gingivitis

Are there diastema or pockets at the side of the tooth/teeth?

I would imagine the treatment would be widening any diastema and clearing out pockets, followed by sluicing out with the equine equivalent of corsodyl.

The poor horse can't help what colour it is! I quite like ginger horses! Especially when they are a deep, rich ginger that gleam like a newly minted penny in the sun!

I totally agree, my all time favourite colour, has to have white socks and a blaze ;)

The vet is very hesitant to do anything at all right now. The teeth are all so fragile but he thinks they are still doing more good than harm at this point. He’s advised to leave them for as long as possible then removing quite a few is the next real plan. I just wondered if there was anything in the meantime that I could do that may help either with any pain (my biggest worry) or just to prolong the usefulness of his teeth
