Can anyone help with why this is happening, please? It's the same girth that was used with last saddle with no problems. Girth is long, shaped one (forward "point"). It's very soft neoprene with webbing crossed over the top. It's rucking / rolling back on itself front and back either side of the webbing so that the neoprene bits are standing away from the horse and just the bits directly under the webbing are in contact.

Is it something I'm doing? Have I perhaps had the girth too tight? Saddle fitter fitted saddle using straps 2 and 3 of 4 girth straps. Should I perhaps be using a different combination? Is this girth maybe not suited to the saddle? (Used it for fitting and seemed fine though - although not for long period).

Happy (well, willing) to get another girth if that's what's needed.

(Pony is wide mini cob - barrel-shaped).
