Looking for a dressage girth with grippy texture to stop girth sliding forward BUT I also need fluffy rolled edges to protect the elbow from chafing as she brings it back.
Tried prolite, fairfax, wow girth etc but the outer edge of girth is shredding the point of elbow (and still sliding forward)
Saddle fit has been checked by fitter, unfortunately mare has extremely round belly and forward girth groove to go with sensitive TB skin.
Seriously considering buying a ventech and putting the fluffy girth sleeve on the outside!

I have a really similar problem but I am having success with the ventech so maybe a fluffy sleeve on the ventech would be the answer ☺

I use a Wintec elastic dressage girth on one of mine, having tried many others. His elbows come back and rub on anything that's at all thick. I found that putting sheepskin on the girth made it worse as it would stick out more so just a simple thin girth works best for him. It's cheaper than most others too! Good luck with your search.

I have a professional choice Ventech without fluff. It doesn't rub my thin skinned mare. Lovely girth. Really need a second one!

No there are no hard or stiff edges and it is all very soft. The only other girth I would use is a Stubben cord girth if I was using a saddle with short billets
