Girth Galls?

Can anyone advise please, My horse has very baggy skin around her elbows, we call them her bingo wings. But in the summer the skin chafs against each other and cause's sores right in front of the girth, its not the girth causing the issue but it dosnt help. i have had her a year now and its only when the warmer weather kicks in that we get the issue and same girth being used all year round.
At the moment i am using salt water to try to harden the skin and lots of vaselin. But can anyone else suggest anything. i have also been using a tee tree oil soultion aswel.
the girth i use is a humane dressage girth and is no were near were the sores are, its her baggy skin chaffing.
i have been looking at the Lamb's wool girth sleeves that you can buy to go under the girth to see if this would just help. ?
does anyone have any suggestions please

NuuMed make a wool dressage girth sleeve, I have one for my horse and they are very thick and cushion the girth well. Cant thank of anything else to help really, you seem to be doing everything possible.
 
Won't vaseline soften the skin?

I use surgical spirit to harden the skin, I also use a wool girth wool. Synthetic ones are a bit useless.
 
Don't ask me why it works, but a piece of rubber inner tube slid over the girth stops it rubbing and aggravating. You'd think it would make it sweat and become sore but it doesn't. (An old dealer trick). I've used it on the odd occasion I've had a sore from something and kept it in work. Just wash off the sweaty patch afterwards with water.
 
I have one with baggy elbows :) he gets bald patches down the back of them that appear to be nowhere near the girth. However on longreining I could see exactly how it was happening, he also has a very forward girth groove.

Am hoping new saddle is going to help this now as girth sits a bit further back.

basically he has to have a shaped girth and he has to have elastic :)

I also use a nuumed cover at times when he is changing his coat as this is when he can be more inclined to get bald spots.

there are cheaper versions I think cotswold sport do one, they are cut to sit back away from the elbows but my boy just cant take the width, oh and noone does one short enough for him anyway!
