Girth sizes? Help!

How do you measure girths? buckle to buckle? leather to leather? cms? inches?
I am getting a stud girth for my birthday and I need to know how to measure the girth I have now, because the size on the tag has worn away!
The one I am riding comes in 42 to sizes 52 (CM's i think)

How do I measure my girth as I dont want to order the wrong size?
Any one know how to or any ideas on what to do?

see if someone else has a girth that matches up or with in a couple of inches and go from there other then that i have no idea haha sorry im not much use

Why not try ringing a tack shop or any tack supplier and ask them. They're normally more than happy to help.

I measure buckle to buckle, like end to end

Girths are measured in inches usually a 42 cm girth would be very short,about 1foot 5inches,not even a dressage length.
Measure from buckle to buckle.

I would ask any that you already use or whoever you are planning on buying your new stud girth from.

in inches, buckle to buckle. Take into considertion any elasticon them as this can make a difference too
