Girth suggestions please

It turns out the problem I've been having with M's saddle slipping to one side is girth related, not saddle related! And as such I'm after a new girth but don't know where to start. I like the look of the Equipe girths but can't tell what the elastic situation is.

Ideally:
- brown (negotiable)
- shaped for a forward girth groove
- either elastic both sides or no elastic at all
- no neoprene
- short girth
- under £150 if possible
 
I have the fylde anatomic girth which is brilliant for a forward girth groove. It is leather with elastic both ends. I was lucky enough to buy second hand but I think they retail new from about 90. Look at the fylde saddlery web site.
 
Thanks all, I've ordered a cheap string girth to see if she likes it! If that fails I'll have a look at Fylde and Kramer. I normally love tack shopping but find girths and stirrup leathers really difficult to buy without seeing them in person!
 
I have a pro choice Ventech girth on my horse who would tend to be slippy but also sensitive (rubs from spurs if he even looks at them, etc).
They have a very soft but sticky back on them, elastic both ends, and are about £70.

Pretty sure they're neoprene plus I find the elastic can be a little too stretchy, but not bad girths if they work for you.
 
I have had the Pro Choice Ventech girth for a couple of months now bought from a lovely member on here. Its very soft and looks a real comfortable girth for the horse, the ONLY issue I have is how elastic it is.
I find myself always having to check/tighten it or the saddle slips, a issue I didn't have with my previous jaguar girth, which was elastic but a tighter elastic and the saddle barely ever slipped. It could be because I have a cob.. but would of thought it would be the same with all horses.
 
Interesting. I had the original version of the pro choice and found I could leave it much looser because of the neoprene.
K has a forward girth groove and prolite/Fairfax narrow gauge works for her.

Have you been back to your saddle fitter? If you're having to tighten the girth more you could get adipose tissue (fat, fascia) damage which can really hinder saddle fitting even if the horse doesn't get sore.

Elastic one end, never recommended.
 
I do think it’s what suits you and your horse, and trial and error.
I have always used the professional choice range on a sensitive pink skinned horse that has competed endurance he gets rather sweaty and lathered, never ever had any rubbing or slipping.

Saddle fits perfect, only recently fitted, its only started happening since changing girth and I am only having to tighten it more as the elastic is so 'elasticy' if you know what I mean.
