Hi,
I recently bought a lovely breastplate- a horseware one, but unfortunately it has a clip to what I assume attaches onto a d ring on the girth. Does anyone know where i can get a girth a with a d ring on? I've only seen it on stud girths but considering I've only got a 5 year old doing 2ft and we never use studs, I think it would be quite silly! I've only got the older style cotton girths at the moment so I have no idea about different girths so I would appreciate some help!
It doesn't have to be really smart because it would only be used for xc and sj and really the cheaper, the better!
Thank you.

Hi Lauren,

My Frank Baines Atherstone Girth has a D ring on the girth which I attach my breastplate too. They are a lovely leather girth but you also have to buy a liner to go with it which pushes the price up quite a bit. I have a sheepskin liner but I think you may be able to get just a plain padded material one too.

Hope that helps xx

The Stubben neoprene girth has one-they're under £40. Alternatively, just get a girth loop (ebay, Zilco, about £4, bought one last week for his bungee cos I've lost my lunge roller-duh! It slides over the girth and has a metal ring for any attachments). Confess I have been known to use bailing twine!:o

lauren what size are you after??? - I have a lovely aerborn girth it has a big broad section where it passes over the breastbone to allieviate pressure and has a d ring on it too. its a 48" and no way will fit new horse - elastic both ends too
