I was looking for a girth that would help with the sensitivity of doing it up. I usually just do it slowly one side then other one hole at a time!
Today my new girth arrived and honestly I do not know why I didn’t buy it before.
Its a Shires Armafleece anatomical girth. It literally stays off the parts that are sensitive, while still remaining tight. ?
Anyone else use this ?

Not this one but I use a Thorowgood one that is similarly shaped.
I also quite like the neoprene tube ones for dressage, they are fairly soft. Mine is a Stubben but there are other brands.

Ahhh see, I saw this was elastic and thought ok, this will be good in a 48! No! BB is a 49 ffs ??‍♀️ so today I
Had to dig out my girth extender, a 50” will be too big it will go right up both sides and still be loose
I'd prefer to swap the girth straps into longer ones instead ,.to ensure that even pressure and stability isn't compromised.

I saw that one when I googled the name (I missed the word "anatomical") :

But yours is more like a Fairfax. It looks nice, is it for a forward girth groove? Is the front at the bottom and back at the top on your picture?
More forward, I will take a pic of it on in the morning ?

I've been looking for a new girth to see if it would help with sensitivity for my big shouldered TB. He prefers fleecy girths - absolutely despises the rubbery ones and hated a bareback pad that gad separate straps. I was looking at the Mattes version but is very expensive. I was also considering the Freespace girth but I know he would potentially hate the material. I swear my horse is autistic....

Well, BB is a tb and has large shoulders. And he has not winced or complained at all doing the girth up with this, its stays right off the sides that are often irritated.
I had lossened the girth off then forgot I needed a picture lol… BB had got himself into an awfy tizzy this morning between my friend feeding him and then me arriving 1/2 hour later, sweat was dripping off him and he was running around the stable like a looney. Only area that was not sweaty was the saddle area ffs!
took him out a pootle to calm him down ?

but as you can see its shaped beautifully ?

Prolite with a Shires supafleece girth sleeve works well on my sensitive boy.

I looked at those for Rigs but was put off by the prospect of having to stick it in the washing machine a couple of times a week. I didn't want the buckles to damage the door glass.
I will just wash it in the sink or bath tbh, if I was washing in the machine id use a wash bag

Thank you both for your suggestions. Am going to look more into. His current one starts off in the right spot but is very close to his elbow and usually when we finish, it has slid back and sometimes irritates him. This is the guy I'm trying to fit.... (someone the other day called him "fat" when we passed them on a hack. I was so pleased because it's taken 16 years to figure out how to put weight on him)

(And yes I am aware of his hind not standing properly under him. This is miles better than what we had started off with about 8 months prior)
