My instructor had us doing lots of give and retake of the inside rein in my last lesson.
On the left rein, my horse stays nice and soft and keeps the bend when I give my inside rein away. I feel I’ve really ‘got him’ in my outside rein and the inside rein is just for showing him how much bend I want etc.
On the right rein however, I feel like he hangs in my inside rein and so when I give it away his head swings to the left (outside).
I don’t have another lesson for a few weeks, does anyone have any ideas of how I can get him to bend around my right leg more correctly. He feels like he offers neck bend and puts his quarters in but doesn’t want to bend through his body.
He’s just been seen by the physio last week who said he was a bit crooked through his pelvis so he might need a 2nd visit?
