As most of you will have gathered by now I am a restless soul who can never make her mind up, hence me asking you good people for your opinions again!

I have recently got a new job (start on Monday) which is about 18 miles away.

We were meant to be moving to a farm next month which was much closer to work, but were gazumped :(

We can of course stay where we are, its just a bit more of a journey than I have at present. As well as the dilemma as to whether to stay here or not, I have been offered fantastic grazing but it is another 8 miles away in the opposited direction to work.

So, the options are:

Move to a house I have found near to work with fab hacking and land for the horses.

Stay here, keep horses at current place 5 minutes walk away, not brilliant hacking.

Stay here, move horses to new, better and more plentiful grazing with excellent hacking, 10 minutes drive away.

Which would you prefer?

In your place I'd go for the first option if you think you will stay in the new job for the forseeable future. Our horses are at home and I work about 12 miles away - rush hour traffic can be dreadful - and I find that difficult enough to fit in. I don't know how we managed when they were at livery.

Would you be sitting in traffic? I only ask as my work is 25 miles away and I do it in about 30-35 minutes as I'm on good, clear roads and heading in the opposite direction to everyone else!
I don't mind driving so I would be tempted to move in the other direction! Different story if you would be sitting in traffice for 2 hours every morning though.
