can anyone give me advice on what is best to feed a good doer to give him more energy at moment i feed baileys lo/cal balancer with a bit of herbal chop but at the moment he just seems very flat and he is hard work to keep going he is fairly fit so i know this isnt the problem

you could try adding a tiny amount of instant energy mix and upping it gradually till you get the right energy level for your horse.

Donks has Tiger Oats with her balancer, chop, sunflower seeds, salt and garlic - result - No difference

I think sometimes that is just how they are! I also find that sometimes they just switch off because they are bored or can't be bothered etc. My horse (Welshie) perks up no end if you take him somewhere new for a hack or on pleasure rides...there is no stopping him and he goes for miles and miles at trot and seems to find the energy to keep going! Take him into a school however and no matter how interesting you make it, he turns into hard work and 'I'm too tired' mode!!!

We've tried that too!!

I think it is her nature, even out hunting she is laid back and calm, but jumps everything I put infront of her
