If you got a goody bag with it what would you want in it

It's quite scary to inject bute; if you get it wrong and miss the vein the results could be catastrophic. Other stuff isn't so serious.
I'm confident with injections but don't unless absolutely necessary.

I do IM injections, but only learnt recently because one of my horses is on a 6 month vaccine course (to try to eradicate his allergies) so I have to do it at regular intervals. I wouldnt be keen on doing IV though, probably just because I have no idea how to do them! And if a horse was that ill I know I can get the vet out within about 15 mins. And I wouldn't have a supply of necessary drugs anyway!

I think it should be taught if a horse has a specific problem, ie. a long term thing or life or death from a specific known problem. I do not think people should be taught otherwise because we simply dont have the training etc.

Having worked in a clinic, I can do both plus set up a drip. I only once managed to go out of vein with a nasty stuff called "Reperil".Of course it just had to be a horse who was going to the European 3 Day Champs in Rome about 2 weeks after the injection
