Kind regards

just a letter that says

dear...........

i hereby give you x amount of notice that i intent to leave the yard on x date. thank you for providing us with a place to stay over the past ......

yours sincerly

......

I'd say something like

I am writing to inform you that I will be leaving the yard on (date) for personal reasons. I have enjoyed being at (name of yard) for the past (length of time) and would like to thank you for making me welcome and for the help you have given me.
With best wishes for the future

do you need to write it?

i always do it in person and talk to them- seems much politer to me.
unless of course it is in your contract that written notice is required.

I will do it in person aswel but give them a letter that can be put in the diary to say exactly when I'm leaving.
I want to do things as properly as pos as YO have been a bit naughty when some people have left before now!

As a YO my liveries have to right out there notice with a contacted date of leaving and a full stable check before leaving

Dear ......

i am writeing to let you know that as of jan the 28th i will be departing ressidance at your equestrian establishment. please take this as my written notification

Many thanks ............
