As the title says really.
I have a 2 year old Toy Poodle. He is very talented in agility and obedence and really enjoys it. However when it comes to leaving our home and doing it somwere else or infront of other people he loses all his confidence and gets very nervous and timid. We tried taking him to dog classes to take him out and meet new people and dogs but it didn't help at all.
Any ideas how to boost his confidence???

I think all you can do is keep taking him places so he gets used to it. Try low key places without many other dogs first, and when he's happy with that try somewhere a little busier.

sometimes adding a supplement can help - try Scullcap and Valerian tablets by Dorwest Herbs, or a product called Serenum ( or even good old Bach's Rescue Remedy

)- none of these herb based products will do any harm and will often sooth nervous dogs - lots of familiarisation helps as well - you could try just taking her to a show type of environment but not compete - just ask everyone you know there to give your dog treats and lots of fuss so that she begins to associate this kind of venue with having a good time. and not with being stressed.

good luck
