:confused:I think I must be getting old! I saw three young ladies ride out to the meet this morning and their horses were immaculate. However I nearly laughed out loud when I looked at the riders. They had been for a spray tan and wearing make up that could have been applied with a trowel! This was in stark comparison from a group of 'older ladies' who were as neatly turned out as their horses, but not orange! All I could think of was ' how are you going to get all that tan off your stock?'

Oh well,things move on I suppose, still, it doesn't compare with kiddies wearing as much make up as the ponies in the show

Yeh i dont get the whole make up and horses thing, and im only 25! When i go to shows i dont evan have time to put a face on before i leave let alone still be able to look like im ready for a night out by the time i enter the ring after getting ponies groomed and tacked up!
Its not like our horses give a stuff what we look like!
 
Apparently the spray tan and excessive make up, fake nails and hair is all the rage now-a-days!!! Cant think why, i think it looks awful as do most people i know.
Totally agree, i dont have the time to preen myself to that extreme and to be honest if i did i just wouldnt bother!! The likes of TOWIE and GEORDIE SHORE has a lot to do with this current fashion, for goodness sake girls looking natural is far more beautiful.....
 
I've noticed one out with us a couple of times, long bleached hair (not in a hairnet) and a face full of slap, I've named her the footballer's wife! I'd say she looks chup rather than glamorous.
 
Fake nails....how on this earth do they manage with them....i cant use them,or keep them on my nails when im at the hunt ball!!!

...which implies they either haven't washed since being out the night before....or won't be freshening up after hours out hunting, before socialising in the evening! Oh dear! What happened to basic hygiene.
 
What annoys me the most the show jumping type come out hunting and leaves their hair loose in a pony tail no Hair Net such a mess.. and then some bling or somthing !
 
Hahaha oh god, I don't do the whole fake nails and tan thing but a few people do refer to me as 'pasty' for my makeup out hunting sometimes! I'm very neatly turned out though! :P
