Well Glandoran is cancelled on sunday

, I was kind of expecting it as the weather forecast last night predicted 40mm of rain today and I think they underestimated it

!!! It's so annoying, this is the third event in a row that I'm entered in that's been called off due to the bloody rain, the horse is is great form and hasn't been out since the 27th of July, it's so disheartening when you keep them fit and schooled but have nowhere to go

! Anyway, I'll probably transfer my entry, has anyone been to Askeaton or Camphire, what are they like?

Lucky you!! I guessed that Glandoran was doubtful if there was any sort of heavy rain as it's right beside a river, the Riding Club one was cancelled there back in June as the river burst it's banks and all the fields where the parking and dressage is was under water

The Riding Club one is rescheduled to next sat and I've entered the mare into the green horse class, but I don't know if that will go ahead now. The most annoying thing is that's it's been lovely here all week

, NO rain and the forecast is ok for the weekend, it's just the amount of rain that fell today was unbelievable

. I guess we'll just have to go sj this weekend instead and hope Calvertown will go ahead next week!!

Camphire would definately be my choice if it's either or with Askeaton. Nice course in general, plenty of space in the SJ and good dressage areas with a nice setting and good ground but just to say that it won't run if it will result in the ground being very cut up. Askeaton has an ok course but the ground is very rocky in places. One group will probably sj in the arena. Dressage can be very boggy, also a few issues with the odd horse that reacts to underground electric cables.
