Just seen this event is cancelled. Does anybody know why? I know lots of people who use this as a "first" as all courses are very straightforward and no doubt lots disappointed as normally has big entries?

Huh?! Nooooooo, that was on my calendar! It is a nice easy course like you say so wonder what on earth has happened? Last year the weather was absolutely horrendous though but still!

golly gosh, i wonder why!!??! Maybe something to do with the recent outbreak of strangles? I agree great easy course and very relaxed!

Bu&&er! How annoying. Had to withdraw last year when D went lame but went to cheer on my friend. Nice course but possibly the most anal organisers ever!

Oh dear, the sec said that its been cancelled because the stupid hotel is running a massive Golf Tournament that weekend!! The organisers are meant to be rather peeved about it!
Couldnt they make the ODE another weekend? Or do dates have to be done like a year in advance with BE?
She said that Strathallan *might* hold a second ODE on the same weekend though.

Thing is the Scottish events a quite packed in September so they would have to have it the week after Burgie.

That's rubbish!! That is our most local event and I was really looking forward to it! It seems mad that they cant reschedule it. There seems to be a lot of conflict now at Gleneagles between what the hotel wants and the Equetsrian centre wants.

Could they not run them both together? I guess its traffic issues but you'd think there'd be another road you could possibly come in on to the equestrian side?

Pants! Had planned to Novice there as I knew the course would be kind. That's shocking if they've cancelled because of a b****y golf tournament.

Well seen they wouldn't cancel bloody pitch n put for a big equestrian event
