Gleneagles BE

I assume it must be the indoor - at least for one bit you'll stay dry then

I am going to watch my horse that I sold last year, he's running in the PN. Looking forward to seeing him, was a nice course last time I rode it. The sj was on a slope so probably for the best it is now on a surface adn there were fighter jets doing a practice flyby when I did my dressage - other than that nice event lol!!!

What are you doing and I'll look out for you xx

Yes, the showjumping is always on kinda undulating ground. Im doing the pre-novice im in the last section - horses name is athlone david, cant remeber my number. Hes only 5 he found the wet ground at scone heavy going, heres hoping for a couple of dry days!

Might see you there. Lisa

I'm going. Haven't done Gleneagles in years, but did a JRN there about 100 years ago and the SJ was in an outdoor arena. Caused a bit of carnage as the surface was fibresand I think, had a sort of hairy wool through it! It seemed to be quite holding, I watched 3 people before me get elimanated, so went in and just kicked my way round. No idea if they still have it as I am ancient

Indoor would be good though!!!

Now, if only they could cover the xc too

I wouldn't think the showjumping will be indoors...otherwise the message on BDWP would say dressage on grass and sj indoors....!
they have an outdoor sand surface, and i think it will be on that.

doesn't anyone think it might be cancelled?? the section lists went up, and then came back down...which is usually a bad sign...?

I have a friend that lives a mile up the road from Gleneagles and said their weather's been very wet the last few days, with water-logging. Doesn't sound great, and as you say, sections were up, then back down again....hmmm....

I was in perth today and there was no sign of rain, i reckon that it will go ahead. Bogpony i think your right the showjumping may be in the outdoor arena.

Suppose we will just have to wait and see what happens!
