Anyone tried this supplement. The info suggests it works differently to Clucosamine, and as I have seen no previous threads about this product I thought to ask all you knowledgeable folks if you have any experience with Move Free.I am trying it on our 12 year old WB who is mildly lame, again,on his inside fore, which is the limb he dishes on.He has been to the Vets etc..I have been using extraflex but feel it may be time for a change.

Can't really say much about Move Free, but I've had fantastic results with what is now called Alpha-Bute (used to be Bute-X). My mare with arthritic knees was stumbling so badly I didn't feel it was safe to ride her any more, even just plodding about in a field. Glucosamine didn't make any obvious difference, so I decided, one last go, and as I'd been using Restore for years (my horse takes drugs that have a very heavy effect on the liver) I opted for Global Herbs. My horse is seriously fussy with her food, so we had to start off with just a pinch, but I had her up to a full dose within about 10 days and I can honestly say that it really does what it says on the tin. I was able to start riding her out again, including having a blast up the last field with 99% confidence. She was always able to find the only local hole in the ground and fall in it anyway.

I think I've got some - I think it is made up of Ginger, Boswella (sp) and tumeric as it smells like curry ... my mare wasn't into it !

Imagine you can make your own VERY cheaply

I'm about to trial suppleaze & MSM for my 14yo giant & see how we get on.

I'll tell you, I use sarc-X on two of mine, and it has worked wonders on the one mare, and the other mare has only just gone on it! I'd not hesitate to try another product of thiers, along with my sucess using sarc-X, I found their customer service to be excellent, and they gave me a good discount & free delivery at YHL this year too.

If we don't make a headway with suppleaze, I will definately be giving one of thier products consideration!

Anyone tried apple cider vinegar for joints? Only reason I'm saying is that I think ACV s under-rated...

I have used Sarc-Ex with great success and was considering Move Free if the old boy started to stiffen up.

Thanks folks, I am trying it so fingers crossed and also augmenting it with the Alphabute.I prefer the more natural treatments as they are less inclined to produce adverse reactions.Poor boy has had a bad summer with low key lameness, came back into work ok for a few weeks, and then lame again last Sunday.Have used Sarc x to excellent effect so thought to give Global Herbs another try.
