Just wondering for those of you that have used Sarcex with great success, how much did you feed and for how long?

The website says 2 scoops twice a day - did you feed at this rate to start, and if so at what point did you start dropping the dose and to how much?

Horse has one sarcoid on his thigh which he has had for 3 years, unchanged and doesnt affect him, however I think I can see the beginnings of one on his side (not 100% sure yet as its so small) and am thinking it can't hurt to try Sarcex.

All feedback much appreciated :)

I used it for my coloured horse. Started with less than half a teaspoon in each feed for the first few days and gradually increased the dosage. I only used it for 2 or 3 weeks as the tiny warty things disappeared and thankfully never came back.

I had the vet out a few weeks ago as my lad had a small sarcoid near his sheath. Luckily it was the type that just drop off but I asked vet about supplements such as sarcex and he said they were useless and to save my money!

I've been using it for a funny sarcoid-y looking thing under Sam's armpit that was left after a fly bite went funny two summers ago. Vet won't commit himself to saying it is a sarcoid. I've just bought my second tub of Sarc-ex, feeding one scoop twice a day. There is definitely an improvement in the appearance of the sarcoid-y thing.

My lot only get fed once a day so I started with 2 scoops per day and worked up to 4. Within a week the nodular sarcoid in my mare's armpit had gone disgusting, stretched out and dropped off.

Definitely wasn't useless for her :)

Fed this to our mare to deal with one nodular sarcoid. Nothing much happened for nearly six months but then the thing suddenly started to swell and crack, bleeding slightly. Over a few weeks it began to dry up shrink and is now completly gone. I will never know if this was because of the Sarc x or if it just ran its course and went anyway. However I like to think that the Sarc x did its job boosting her immune system (she was only a youngster and a bit poor) which enabled her body to deal with it. Whatever it is I fed her three scoops a day and still do as I am under no illusions that she may be prone to further sarcoids and I'd rather keep it going.

Thanks all. It's interesting about the immune system, my guy had a bout of flu in his previous home so it sounds to me like he could do with an immune system boost! It can't hurt to try it anyway!

I really swear by all the Global Herbs products - I have never had one that didn't work including Sarc-ex - Not surprised a vet said it was rubbish - it takes payment away from them!! HOWEVER .... I have to say Stinky Stuff has done a fantastic and faster and miles cheaper job

I used it with great success. Purchased a poor cob and as soon as she arrived she had 2 scoops twice a day. Used the whole tub and another one. All sarcoids went including a large flat one on her shoulder.

I know this may sound completely bonkers but since Sam's been on the Sarc-ex I've noticed his splints seem to be reducing - they were never massive in the first place but enough to affect his placings in showing classes. One of them has almost virtually vanished. Maybe just coincidence and they are reabsorbing anyway, but just thought it worth a mention.

Thanks folks! Sounds like good news all round. I have my guy on 2 scoops twice a day so 4 scoops per day total. I'll continue this until I see results.

Did you stop feeding it when it did the job (ie sarcoids went away) or do you continue to feed for a certain amount of time? I know some use the maintenance dose on an ongoing basis?
