I"ve recently put my mare on Supercalm and it seems to have made her worse 😔. She's become REALLY stressy in the field (usually first out and not bothered or calls out then continues on eating) and actually reared up when my friend tried to turn her mare out. This is completly different behaviour. She is a stressy anxious wreck anyway hence me trialling 100 different calmers but never this bad. Her poos are quite smelly and runny and she's started box walking again.

I've spoken to GH and they said to work up to recommended dose and see if it makes her better. I'm a bit hesitant to give her more if her behaviour has changed so badly with half a dose.

Anyone else had the same effect? Thanks

Supplements normally take seven to ten days to take affect although liquid supplements are slightly faster.I still think you should look elsewhere for your culprit.
 
I've since taken my mare off supercalm and she went back to her 'normal' self. I don't think it was right for her. She was boderline dangerous, rearing, spinning, charging at people bringing their horses in. All of which is very unlike her. I just needed something to calm her nerves as she's a sensitive soul and thinks everything is out to get her. Thanks everyone for your replies
