Am looking to join a RC to get my youngster out and about and myself some much needed instruction - am well out of the swing of things in the 'normal' horse world!

*whispers... it's been over five years since I did a normal outing, with the exception of one HT*

So, in view of this and the sometimes appalling behaviour of ponio the RC in question would need to be a friendly, tolerant bunch.
I'm based near Newent, which is about 15mins outside of Gloucester towards Ledbury. Am close to the Herefordshire borders (Ross-on-Wye 15mins) and the Worcestershire borders (Malvern 25mins).
Any suggestions gratefully received!

Berkeley and District! Lovely bunch of people, very, very friendly, something for everyone and they even have a "club within the club" at no extra cost aimed at novice/nervous/green horses and riders! I'll be renewing my membership at the end of the year (after 2 years not being a member) as imo it will be ideal for Tilly this time next year!

PM me if you would like any more info!

Thanks Jen, There'd only be one problem with joining them.... Me and Boozle would be completely shown up by you and Tills

How about we pretent that Boo is the just backed never-been-anywhere baby, and that Tills is the five year old!

Tilly may be ok but you've not seen me ride!!! It would definately be a giggle!! And you have the excuse of a broken collarbone (how is the btw) so poor Boo hasn't done much since being backed.....

It's awful, the bit that looked angry before is now flowing with gunk

Am booked in for surgery on the 7th, but it's so infected that they're saying they won't operate unless there is a drastic improvement. I'm on the strongest antibiotics they can give me and they're not having the slighest bit of effect other than making me feel ill.
But... I get to keep Cybele for longer so it's a decent trade off of bad luck for good

Oooh Ouchie!! That sounds awful, you'd think they'd being doing something other than shoveling AB's into you after this long! Bloody NHS!

Brilliant news about Cybele though! I must come up and visit you all after exams!

When do yours finish?
My last one is tomorrow and I'm really struggling to knuckle down and do some work. If Cybele had been leaving on Thurs then I wouldn't be able to concentrate, but now she's staying I'm even more distracted! Had my head buried in a massive pile of massage/sports therapy books, looking into joint supps, more magnets, trying to find a swimming pool, booking remedial trims..... the list is endless!
The joke is that I'd been doing all this before and the vet assured me it was pointless

Tills is at stud for about a week, so should be around when you come up!

I don't finnish until the 8th

Has Till's gone already?! Wow, bet you are beside yourself with excitement!!! Can't blame you for being distracted over Cybele either - my Till's goes up to my trianers on Sun to start hacking and that is bad enough for me, poor mum has rugs etc to wash coming out of her ears

Yup, dropped her off at 11 yesterday. It's only down the road so she's just staying for covering and then coming home once she comes out of season. Lets hope that it all goes well and she comes home carrying a little blob

And... I've been rug washing too, without even needing an excuse!

Tills will be fine with your trainer, don't stress! X
