Anyone live in Gloustershire and if so when do you think the grass will really pick up? I know it depends greatly but just wondering how other peoples grass is growing

Our garden is growing. Its been mowed and looks like it needs it again. Field is a different matter! That said mine are leaving hay and my littlest pony didnt come when i called him yesterday and the day before. That's a sure sign theres more than it looks like in the field. He was muzzled last night in case and was waiting at the gate this morning. I take that to mean its starting to grow!

The grass in the rested fields has definitely got greener but is not as long as it has been in past years in March .
Some photos came up on my Facebook from this time last year and 2 years ago and the grass was definitely longer.
Some drier weather would definitely help.

Not quite Gloucestershire but not a million miles away on the Worcestershire/Herefordshire border - mine has started to leave hay in the field and is suddenly looking a bit too chunky. Usually every single strand is hoovered up so I assume ours is coming through now!

Glos/ worcs border- my fields look awful but mine came in with massive grass glands yesterday and mums horse coliced Sunday having been out for longer day on Saturday. Vet said all she did was visit colics all weekend so I would say ours is definitely being productive …even if it doesn’t look like it is!!

Thanks all, just fretting about hay as our grass is coming through, the annual saga of deciding when to start weaning them off it!
