Can anyone recommend a pair of decent gloves that don't get too hot in summer? Need to be durable and have *very* good grip but would like them as cool as possible - mainly for schooling so don't need to come in dressage white!

I have mainly Roeckl gloves already but even the very thin ones do seem to get rather warm! Which ones do you have?

Another vote for Roeckl, have white sparkly ones for dressage and navy for everyday riding and both have lasted really well, good grip and don't get too hot :)

I like the Mark Todd Mac wet gloves for summer. They have the mac wet grip on palm and a mesh back.

Roeckl Solar are very good. The back of the hand is very wide knit mesh and apparently offers a 4-8 SPF. but reduces the appearance of glove marks if your arms get tanned. Seem to come in black or white!

I have just ordered some Roeckl ones in caramel, they arrived this morning, they are lovely and soft and thin! planning o riding in them tomorrow :)
Previously had mountain horse crochet gloves - lasted me 2 years!! fancied a change though :)

Hmmm - decisions, decisions! I already have several pairs of Chesters, which I love but which I find too warm for hot weather; I have the Ariat Insulated gloves for winter (which are fantastic, for anyone who is thinking of buying some for next winter!); need to decide between Mac Wets and Roeckl Solars ..

Thanks for all suggestions everyone - hopefully, this may be useful to others now that the weather is getting warmer..
