As the title says, can anyone recommend any??
I only ever use plain reins and am struggling to hold my forward going horse, as I can't get any grip

I have gone though every type of Roekel (sp) glove on the market, even the ones which have special grips on the palms.

Are there any good gloves out there, or am I going to have to buy all new reins!?

Toggi - amazing - I feel like spider man in them - warm out hunting, and breathe in the summer, Ive had them three seasons now - hunting and eventing!

have you tried magic gloves? I have used these for years - they maybe don't last as long as some more expensive gloves - but I usually expect them to last a year or so (including wearing them for mucking out if necessary) and you can usually pick them up for a couple of quid.

i had real contact and control issues xc, esp in wet weather, so i invested in some eventas reins (which r amazing) and some seg gloves. Didnt try out before i set off, was a disaster!!!! took gloves off half way round threw em at spectator!! Bought some woof ones which r fantastic in all weather!!!! Had plenty of wet weather last season to try out!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to love my SEG gloves, wondered if they still did them. I did have them about 10 years ago now though.

Eventa reins are amazing though, I cannot ride in anything else now and they are brillaint without gloves to!

Exactly Madam_Max - there are some Rodney Powell ones which have a sticky leather grip and are amazing but i can't find them online anywhere - maybe they have been discontinued. Shame in that case, were brilliant.

I deffo wouldnt worry about not having gloves on with eventa reins they r fab grip, i do wear gloves with em save on blisters!!!!

i would ditto the rodney powell gloves, the whole range is fantastic and reasonably priced.
dont go for macwet, expensive, and dont last very long imo

Macwet! You cannot beat them! I have had about 8 or 9 pairs now, usually having at least 3 pairs on the go at any time. I wear the fingers out eventually as I wear them all year round. They are the best in the wet or dry

Macwet are good, but not particularly hardwearing!! Loved my Roekl grippy ones, but cant remember what they were called...will try and find them
