Until recently I had a great pair of Roeckl cross country gloves which I used for all my riding and I'd had them for years, however.....after a run in with the in-laws labrador - resulting in part of said gloves making its way through a canine digestive tract - I need to choose some new ones and figured there may be some newer better ones I don't know about - so any recommendations of some super grippy gloves?

No suggestions but interested in replies - I had Roeckl XC gloves about 7 years ago and lost them, I bought a new pair a couple of years ago and I don't think they're as good as my previous pair. A lot of the grip has come off, although they can still be worn.

These are the best I've used so far, had to invest in a new pair of gloves when I started riding in plain leather reins due to gripping problems and these have been amazing!

They have a sort of sticky leather palm/grip to them which seems to stick my hads to the reins as even in the rain my reins didn't slip at all! I can't comment on what they would be like for x-country as I ride dressage, BUT, my horse is a bit of a g*t with the contact when he is excited and with even him pulling against me I didn't end up with wahing-lines :D

I like Roeckl but found Heritage Tackified Pro Air gloves which have a tacky feel giving more grip. You can get them from Performance Rider website.

I second that! MacWets!!

Really light so you have good feel, they come in all the usual colours with either short or long cuffs, if they get wet they grip even more and they do a set with a fleecy back for winter. Since the first time I tried them I've never ridden in anything else.

Love my roeckl gloves but they really haven't worn well at all but ill still get another pair when they finally give up, they're just so comfy too!!!
