Glucosomine supplements

Just wondering what everybody thinks of these really? Are they worth the money, are there any outstanding ones or are they really a placebo effect?

I have found them good and used them my self, but buy the powder in bulk from health food stores etc, rather than an expensive packaged product.

vet vits do one which is half the price of Cortaflex or I get a large tub from my vet and again much cheaper than Cortaflex etc.
