If you have glued down your rubber mats, which glue/adhesive did you use?

I know quattro do their own 'matbond', but its £75 /tin:eek:

Would a flexible flooring adhesive from a DIY / builders merchants do the job? And then use gutter sealant to seal the joins and edges?

thank you!

I have recently bought the 17mm thick mats and to be honest, they are so flippin heavy there is no way they need glueing down! They are not moving anywhere! But I used the black bathroom sealant for in between the gaps and this seems to work well.

Thank you!
I have light foam mats - nice and soft, but start moving around half way through the winter :( also, urine gets underneath and it's a pain to totally empty the beds in mid winter.

Search ride away they sell rubberised paint far easier, unless you have the mats already, but urine will make the glue become tacky and dissolve it i think

We have tried a few times to use different home sealants and every time urine has rotted it as it is so strong. As yet i haven't found what product to use, so not much help but just so you know that bathroom sealant etc won't last long.

hi we fix our mats with long screws drilled into the concrete and very large washers to hold the mat down on each corner, works brilliantly

Sounds like a good idea... I've got thick mats too.....so heavy-but they moved they're laid on a uneven stone floor as i have a traditional stone stable. I'm lifting them this wk end to put sand underneath to level & then might stick them like you've done. Thanks.
