I am a mum and my children have their ponies. I enjoy being number one groom and taking them out and about but now I've had the offer of a gorgeous horse to loan for myself. he's a real schoolmaster type and sounds just the job to hack out with the kids and maybe do some local shows/clinics etc. however, I'm scared of making the commitment. Although really really excited about the prospect of my own horse (it's been 25 years since I had my own pony!), I worry.....would I have enough time to ride? Can I really afford the extra cost? What if I get hurt? I worked with horses for years but then had a long break to have the kids etc etc so finally time for something for me? What do you think? Go for it? Or be sensible and say no? ......
