16.1 5yo bay mare good confirmation blemish free soft outline started lateral work jumps ditches fillers water trays not yet been out to compete perfect nature.

Professionally schooled.

How much should I pay ?

How much should I pay if I really want her (well bred TB)

5k? Depends really on her type and potential. But credit crunch and all that...you might get her for less.

She sounds a nice mare and sometimes if you really want something you have to pay a bit more.

I guess it comes down to whether she's raced or not. You don't know what she'll be like at shows and as with alot of TB's they can take a while to settle!

I'd say £2500 max in the current climate. Good luck x

If she hasn't raced and is as good in reality as your post then I would be happy to pay around the 4-5K mark.

I have a tbx but has thrown more tb than connemara a 5 year old who is such a star, lovely natured and tries so very hard for me , so I guess whilst TB's can be "difficult" each one is different . I incorrectly had pre conceived ideas of Tb's before owning one and I will admit I was wrong to think that way.

Are you going to see her?

I have 2 TB's and one is hard to handle and the other is a dream but you have to take into account that she's never competed - it's going to be exciting for her!

I have a tb mare that im selling, pretty much the same as the one you described, although chestnut and literally only just starting to jump, for a lot lot less than some of these estimates!!

I do want a chilled horse and this is how she is described. I have had 1 nappy TB, 1 TB who is a saint pic 1 in my sig (oops 2) still going strong at 25 ( 1 is my kitty) a Hanovarian who was a lazy stroppy g*t 1 Irish cross tb who was a grey cowbag and a CB Gulliver who is a saint.

It just goes to show there is no typical horse its like Chestnut mares having a bad rep.

So fingers crossed I am not seeing her until after 5 I am box walking again and have a slight touch of colic. I am taking my worst friend who will keep my feet on the ground and probably break my arm if I look like making a bad decision.

Good luck with the viewing! Maybe find out if she's actually been boxed anywhere etc. Agreed that you can't say they're all the same. Oscar would have been perfect for you if I had decided to sell him.

Let us know how you get on.

Yes I agree every horse is different regardless of breed.

Good luck with the viewing and yes let us know how you get on.
