i have an old gelding i am trying to put weight on, he gets a moist mash of misc pelleted feeds twice daily. after i feed him, i go milk my goats. hmmm, could i use that lovely fresh warm milk to moisten his feed instead of water? thanks!

I used to when I had too much for us. The pony seemed happy to eat the food. Not sure whether it put weight on him or even if I was doing the right thing but he came to no harm.

not sure if it will put weight on but our horses just sucked it out of the milking bucket. They loved it. As there were several horses they were limited to about half a dozen sucks each.

I'm not at all sure that adult horses can digest milk, but it probably won't do any harm (maybe). I have reared orphan foals with goats milk, back in the dark ages before there was mares milk replacer, we kept goats for several years.

I always give my puppies goats milk as they can digest it. Can't do any harm as it's second best to mare's milk for foals.
