Goddy update, and lots of XC schooling pics.

Well my horrid pony (

) Seems to be a bit happier about life now. He has had a week in the field with some Propell plus (when he'd eat it

) and an easy week of hacking and walkering. Schooled him yesteray, and he was lovely soft, supple and forward, havent felt him like that for a while, so was

Took him XC schooling today to cheer him up a bit, and he was lovely. Started off a bit green as he was gawping at everything going on around him, but after a few dicussions about where he should be looking, he was brilliant, felt really keen, really cute and bold. It just takes him a while to "switch on" which I need to remember for warm ups etc

Anyway, some pics!! CC welcome as always, how do you think he is looking? He looks SO much stronger to about a year ago.

I agree, seems to take these Irish horses a lot longer to mature. Winston was the same, i bought him as an 8 year old and he was still quite weak and immature.
He also needed reminding about spooky sjing etc

Yeah it was ok, not somewhere I would hurry back to, not enough combo's etc IMHO. But was ok for a jolly which is what we needed

I took Zeb to our local xc course last night to help my mates daughter with her confidence crisis that she is having at the moment, you would NEVER believe that he had a bouncy bottom AND tried to trollie off with me!!!!

Luckily with Zeb, if you sock him in the teeth he goes, "Ooops, sorry, I forgot my manners for a second" then comes back to me beautifully, I love that horse, he's beginning to have so much fun

He even mustered up enough oomph to jump a couple novice fences

Back to Goddy though, he's looking smashing and you look happy, so I hope it continues.xxx
