Well off we went to SL this morning feeling quite confident (well about the XC at least Lol :grin)
Walked the course and it was very nice started off small and got bigger and included both the waters!!
Well left just over an hour to warm up and he was working beautifully (well for him!!) but we still had 20mins to go so walked him round and he just got worked up and over the boil so went in to to a tense test to get 51
but none of the antics of last weekend!!
Then on to SJ - again was mega early but did a few jump then walked and so on just to chill him out! He went in and did a very nice round for him just was unlucky to have fence 2 down behind and ran through fence 7!! but still pleased with that as he was a star compared to out 1st SJ outing on grass!!
Then XC i swear i was green!! sooo nervous as i dint no what to expect from him and the course was causing huge probs and im presuming most of the people were experienced 2ft 6 combination! saw so many Eed at fences 1 and 2!!
Soo he flew over 1 and 2. 3 and 4 were either a turning 2 strides or take a turn and i took the turn! thought it would have been a bit much for him as its still only the 3rd time hes seen XC jumps!! so did both those nicely! flew 5, 6, 7, 8 then the water was backing off as it was very muddy but a few encouraging taps he walked in out over a step then turn to a log! then over 10 and 11, 12 was a dog kennels out of the woods then a zig zag fence to the next water and again he back off but not as much troted in and out over a log then a trakehner (sp) a trailer (best jump of the course) another nice little fence and the the last!! wow CLEAR on our 1st attempt but did get quite a few time for going too fast but the speed was only 400 mpm!!
So onward and upwards to moreton Morell!!
