After much thought i have decided i want to teach beginners to ride. I have myself had alot of experience with horses, have my own and can ride well myself. I have been riding since the age of 5 and along the way have taught a few to ride :) I have just turned 29 and am fed up of having a crappy part time cleaning job to fund my horses and would much rather be teaching at a riding school :) I like the whole riding school thing, teaching children as well as adults to ride.
So i know i need to do my BHS exams, can someone point me in the right direction as to where to start looking to do this :)
Thanks

As Im going down the same route, id personally highly recommend finding a Equine college near you with a good reputation, and speak to their course coordinator, they themselves have done the route to BHSI, II or possibly even FBHS and can help you decide whats best route for you to take, be it part time bhs stages.. or maybe a full time horse management course etc

I did all mine through working pupil scheme so got experience on job but you can also do part time or just a course. Id do some training at BHS approved yards, especially for your PTT part, as you will need to be coaching lessons to todays standards and need to know all health and safety procedures etc etc. for your area try www.berriewood.co.uk or www.prescottequestrian.co.uk (also advertising for a part time instructor!! :D )
Good luck! :)
