Going pony shopping today!

Off to see the pony referred to in this thread today!

It's been 10 years since I've been pony shopping and my mind is bound to go blank and forget to ask something, so I'm trying to write out a list of questions to ask - any suggestions or advice? I have had horses for years, but I can be a little inclined to see the nice side of people which isn't good when buying!

You can google for questions to be asked before buying a horse, there's plenty of websites on this. Here's a small list:

How does the horse behave going into and out of the stable?
What is the horse like to be tacked up?
Does it mind its feet being picked up?
Does it mind rugs?
Does it mind grooming, being clipped?
Does it mind being tied up?
Does it mind being away from other horses?
Can you ride it out on it's own?
Is it a problem to shoe?
Is it a problem to box?

A good question is "whats his worst habit or most annoying". Its amazing the answers this can produce.

Good point about googling - why I didn't think of that I don't know! I use google for everything else. You see the mind is already getting clouded and I haven't even got there yet!
