Hi all

Looking to find someone to do a couple of hours a day freelance work, mainly mucking out, bringing in etc. What is the going rate for this type of help?

I've been offered help at £10 an hour, but have a friend who has a pro school hers for her for that (which would seem to be worth more?!)

I don't want to short change anyone, but don't want to be ripped off either!

Thank you!

Over the winter we have a part timer in to feed/poo pick/change rugs on the ponies and we pay £10 a hour - I think its a decent rate.

I would say the rate you have been offered if about right and that the person who is schooling for £10 is very cheap!

Great to know £10 is reasonable - I must admit I didn't think it sounded that bad (particularly as it covers only the time they are on the yard - I'm not paying for travelling or fuel).

cob&onion, I'm based on the Wilts/Glos borders.
