Ive moved to DIY yard and as having 2 and working full time have a freelance groom come in few days a week to help out.

Shes putting her prices up so wondered what the going rate is for muck out, fill water and make a haynet up.

Doesn't make hard feeds or turn out/bring in.

She's local and passes the yard daily so not out of her way but appreciate is more than if someone is already at the yard.

Based on South East London / Kent

thanks

Understandably, many freelancers will have a minimum charge per day or visit, even if they are 'just passing', so I'd reckon on at least £10. As you say, if she was already on the yard, you could pay her by the hour, which would work out rather cheaper, I suspect.

ETA just seen that this is for two horses. How long does it take her?

I'd say £10 - it sounds like an hour's work, assuming two decent muck-outs, and even if it takes less I'd suggest the minimum daily rate should be a fair hour's pay for someone who isn't already on the yard.
