I was paying £12 for a large bale equivalent to 10 small bales. The people who run my yard have just said they have enough straw to be able to sell to me as well, and I am getting it at £10 for an even large bale which is equivalent to way more than 10 bales - couldn't say exactly though. These bales vary in how many small bales there are in them, from farmer to farmer, because of how titghtly they are packed and how big they are overall. Therefore, me saying I can get a bale the size of a house for £10 will be irrelevant... your bale might be bigger and more money!

The straw I am going to be buying is not as nice as the stuff I already buy, but I figure if my horse is going to be a messy herbert, then frankly I don't care!
