Sorry not particularly horse related, but the fact that i'm still not allowed to ride cos of my stupid rotated pelvis is really getting to me now.
I feel so fed up at the moment. There just seems to be no end in sight. i was told december should be ok to ride again, but i slipped (not over) and managed to pull a me in my thigh which has made my pelvis play up so now been told "about 6 months. i'm so sick of this now. i've not ridden since dec 2006.
I've just really shouted at my 2 year old cos she wanted to look at one of my horse books. i'm turning into a souting horribal person cos i'm just so fed up

i feel for you lindylulu but i didnt have that much time off! i had 6 months bed rest due to a riding accident, and it was the worst time of my life, so cannot imagine not riding for since 2006.
just have that hope though, that you will ride again, and although it seems tough now, just remember it will happen!
i kept myself busy studying for my stage 3, and to be honest its amazing what i learnt from the comfort of my own bed!

I stopped riding when found i was prgnat in 2006. i got the rotated pelvis while pregnant and my daughter was born sept 2007! it should have been diagnsed when i was preg but the midwife told me it was a normal pain!?!
I would love to be able to study for my stage 3 (i have 2) but my daughter has other ideas about how i should spend my time! i know i will ride again but i'm just too impatient!! i want it now!!

i had 2 children when i was on bed rest, luckily at that time my OH was great, he printed them off loads of stuff off the computer to keep them busy (colouring pages, and stuff) that gave me some time to be able to study a bit. i think its all about keeping your mind occupied otherwise you do go crazy....literally!
i did the equi study course for stage 3 which was brilliant as it allowed me to home study, at my own (and my childrens!) pace! you can learn so much from home even though your not around a horse.
take this time to brush up on care side of things. i also did the baileys horse feed papers, if you go on their website, they send you a question paper for level 1, and you send it back, if you pass you get a freebie (a t-shirt at level1) then they send you level 2, again, i learnt a lot about feeding from doing that.
*rushes off to find level 2 paper as forgot about it!*

Thank you i will go on the site now. i taught in a riding school before i had Evie so i'd love to get back to that.
I will also try the printing stuff off to keep her busy- cbeebies is good for about an hour lol
where in p'boro r you cos i lived there while i was preg
