dont see what all the fuss is about. we all know what injuries the horses/riders suffered as its news elsewhere. Pictures dont really show anything else. Whats the issue with tagging the pics, are they ashamed of themselves? I doubt it, this is the risk with this type of sport im afraid.
I was at Badminton and got shots of Elizabeth Powers fall. I just happened to be there at the timne and had worked out how to use continuous shot.
As soon as I realised that she was not getting up I deleted them from the card. I did take and keep a few of the air ambulance as I am sad like that and like choppers!
...but thats me.
I don't understand why she felt the need to take so many pictures of virtually the same scene? The ones of Tom Crisp's horse been attended to and then loaded into the ambulance just seemed pointless to me .
The pics of the horse that studded itself in the water are a good series of action shots but again perhaps not necessary to upload them onto a public site?
I'm not a photographer but I thought she had some good photos there. They look a bit poor in the thumbnails but the bigger pics are fine.
As a member of the organising team at the Barbury International Horse Trials, I would just like to confirm to those reading this thread, that the four horses injured in this CIC 3 star event all received immediate veterinary attention from the seven-strong team of on-site vets, and are now back home and recovering well. The photos which provoked this discussion were not taken by an officially accredited photographer.
I'm surprised no-one asked her to stop taking photos. When you're going through such a worrying time to have such an invasion of privacy (reason why they erect screens after all) is such poor taste.
i agree the pics behind the screens are a bit much the screens are there for a reason after all ,but the others are interesting to see what went wrong tbh
the most interesting one is of tom chrisp & cooleys luxury poor horse has had a serious ducking and mr chrisp is just walking off leaving him in water doesn't even look like he has looked back to see that the poor horse is ok
