Going to view a horse

I've only bought one, but I asked open ended questions like 'what does she spook at' or 'how does she load?' or 'what is she like with the farrier?' If you ask 'is she good with the farrier? they're hardly likely to say 'no' are they?! So you'll get more information as the seller then can't do one word answers.

She looks very nice, hope she is what you want.

She does indeed look very nice.

I would ask too many questions if in doubt ask, I would ask what work she has been doing, what she did in holland, how long has she been broken has she ever competed been to a show here or there , all the usual any vices ( obvious but still has to be asked ) does she hack out alone and company anything you can think of ask.

Have they jumped her yet, I would expect at this stage at least to see her loose jumped (nothing high ) so you can get an idea of her jump ( breeding suggests she can )

I really like her good luck no wonder you are excited!

Have spoken over the phone and she did nothing in holland. Was brought over as a 3 year old and broken as a four year old by current owner. she was roughed off over winter due to the bad weather. She hasn't competed yet but has been to shows and ive seen her at clinics and she doesnt seem spooky esp for her age. There is a video of her jumping as a 3 yr old on utube but current owner hasn't loose schooled her as she jumps out of arena.
