Gold plate on k and m saddle

I was looking at an ad for a used k and m saddle and the branding bit was all gold instead of red and gold like the new ones are, it still says Kent and masters in the same font though. Is this just because it’s an older model? Any experience appreciated probably me just being stupid

I have a K&M and the red part of the badges came off, revealing just gold
