Thought I’d share a picture of my Great Dane x Husky, JD.
She’s rising 14 now and is my best mate. She’s not left my side since I had my accident. She accompanies me to the toilet, shower, to bed… a very faithful friend ❤️

She’s a bit arthritic behind now, but gets up and down the stairs fine whenever she wants and still jumps in the car to go for her beach walks.

I love the angle of her ears. I would never have guessed the breeds.

I’ve never seen another dog like her, she’s very unique. Interestingly, I’ve had a few people over the years ask me is she part Husky, which really surprised me that anyone would know. These people genuinely tended to be those who had owned Husky’s and obviously picked up on some traits.
Other than that, a lot of people call her ‘scooby doo’ ? Think it’s the face!

The best thing about JD is that she took my mum from being someone who didn’t like dogs to someone who is now totally obsessed with them and has 3. My mum was quite a difficult person to live with years ago, very uptight and obsessive about the house and could be really quite hard work. JD completely changed her for the better and mum even admits it herself. That dog did, in 12 months, what the rest of us had failed to do all our lives ?
