...the good first, Bug went to her first ridden comp on Saturday, it was a dressage, jumping and trec style handy pony combo thingy....low key good fun kind of experience gaining thing.
Decided to do the Intro B test which then had the 1'9" jumping.
She did the best test of the day and finished on 75.6% which was brilliant the nest closest was on 69.5% so really pleased with her as the dressage is what we mainly went for.
Anyway next came the jumping.....was doing really well if not a little excited. But then at jump five near the gate decided to be nappy and start launching around...so walked past it and carried on. Did rest of course no problems and then we were allowed to go back over five and annoyingly she jumped it lovely that time.....typical.
Next the little handy pony course.
Did it all brilliantly passed the flapping bunting, did a brilliant rein back, good low branches and canter corridor.
Really pleased with my little baby racer.
So the not so good news..... Solar my mum's pony decided to escape into the big horses field as they have more grass, but in the process of doing this has managed to cut the front of his hock right on the joint, so now the 3yr old who normally is out 24/7 is on box rest and limited movement with huge banage from hoof to stifle to limit the movement. Poor little thing. Coping well with it at the mo, but it's only been 24 hrs.
So vibes for him, and hoping his cut heals fast so he can return to his trouble making days in the field.
Now if you managed that then you totally deserve so apple pie and cream.
