As in title really

Am just window shopping at the moment, but the velcro straps on my boy's current 'el cheapo' pair are nearly on their last legs, no pun intended.

Just asking for suggestions on good types/brands people may have come across(they'll be used for showjumping). The only criteria at the moment is that they are open front tendon boots. Also, would really like to avoid sheepskin, if that's possible! (Not sure how possible that is, considering every second pair I've seen has the stuff!!!!)

I use Eskadron for show-jumping - open tendon boots in front and fetlock boots behind. It's possible to get them either with or without fleece linings. I have the ones without. They seem hard wearing and also wash well.

we compared them directly to eskadrons in the local shop, and IMO they offer much greater strike protection

Now I own a set of expensive Stephens leather open front boots with detatchable sheepskin or neoprene linings ....

however I prefer my old cheap Woof Wear tendon boots, but you don't seem to be able to buy these any more

Thankfully they are still going strong at the moment and the leather ones are clean in my garage!

I have the Woof Wear Pro boots and they're great. I only use them for jumping so they don't get frequent use, but they got washed regularly and are neoprene lined. Wash up a treat.

Defo Tri zone tendon boots - no sheepskin so for everyday use they can be scrubbed inside and out (if you have a damp sand school like ours!!) They are good for strike protection too, i use them on my trippy TB rather than for jumping thou.

Thanks everyone

-I think I will definitely look into the Eskadron ones, as I know I can get them down here, not too sure about the availability of the other brands.
