Following on from someones previous post about the heights of BSJA courses, I agree and although I have been winning at 3'3" unafiliated, the 70cm intro affiliated class at patchetts a month or so ago seemed enourmous!! However my question is which centre in my area has the best BSJA courses for baby horses and novice riders?? My horse is stabled near Luton.

Thanks

I agree, patchetts is always massive! Even the 70cm open was big last time I went!! Getting used to their courses now though, guess it will make it easier when I go elsewhere!!

Lordsbridge is nice as it doesn't usually get too busy, however they cram a lot of jumps into the arena and it's often quite spooky!

I like Norton Heath midweek, never been there on a weekend, so couldn't comment on its essexness! But I thought their indoor arena looked very small. The only BN I've done at Patchetts was indoors, I thought it wasn't up to height. BCA also run the odd BSJA show, but not in your list of counties above!

I like College and Addington EC. Did Lordsbridge for the first time last winter indoors but found that the warm up area was very small and dark.

if you can manage to to come to addington then there is BCA and Snowball Farm (bucks) not sure how much they do in the winter though but BSJA there is normally 1st weekend of everymonth and their outdoor arena is a really nice surface.

College, Addington, NortonHeath, Lordsbridge and try snowball farm too, its not on very often but they build under height I think!!! Addington has had a mega face lift and having just gone there for the BSHCA champs I can say the facilities are fantastic.

Weston Lawn nr Coventry, in Warwickshire but straight up M1 from Luton, so shouldn't be too bad. Lovely courses, two arenas, really nice.

Wow thank you everyone! I love keysoe, snowball and Lordsbridge but had never been affiliated to them before so will definately look up when they are. I have never been to Norton Heath or Addington so will look those up too.

Thanks again, maybe I'll see you guys there.
