Big "Orse" arrived at my farm by chance 5yrs ago, an old friend was given a horse but had no know how or anywhere to keep him. So in my wisdom.... I offered her livery for free in return for some help on the Farm. Well he was a sweetheart a huge 17.2 ID dun with stripey legs and kind as, my mare was smitten! It became apparent that he had just been hooned around by large people due to his size, if you got his tack out he started to shake... bless. luckily for him said friend lost interest pretty sharpish when winter rocked up and was never to be seen again!
but big Orse stayed and lived with his friends eating me out of house and home every winter but was never lame or sorry and yesterday they big fella left as quietly as he arrived I found him lying in the field with his beloved mare at his side, he still had grass in his mouth.
Good Bye Big Orse you were very loved XXXXXXXXX
